Saving the Family History - Geneology in the Face of Katrina

It is extremely necessary to continue to collect and maintain our historical history and heritage. Documentation can come in all forms such as photos, bibles or letters from family members.

A natural disaster can wipe out years of preservation efforts by the family.



This is an example of a woman saving her family's history and legacy before Hurricane Katrina destroyed her family home.

SIS Oral History Project - Mrs. Ann Cooper

This past weekend I asked an older poet when she would give me permission to record her on video. Her response was, "Probably never."



I respect her decision and will allow a few more months to elapse on before I ask again. But this video by the Spellman Oral History Project is the reason I keep asking older women to allow themselves to be recorded.

Mrs. Cooper at 108 has made her transition to the upper realm. In this short video she has graced us with a life that is far deeper than we know and has possible clues about on how shall we go forward.

These are what your granddad or great-grandpop use to read in between his textbooks or out in the barn. This was their sex-education and it was raunchy, misogynistic and no redeeming social value. Ok, one value it did help the fellas could kinda get a glimmer of what to do with part A and how to insert it in part B.

Women :: Gatekeepers to Sex?

Trailer for a short from the Tribeca Film Festival on how things for women change, sometimes only with great courage.

Sadly, one step forward is often followed by three steps back.

Women have historically been the keepers of sexual morality, and have borne social and legal responsibility for men unable to keep their pants zipped.

"Cover yourself," has been an answer in some cultures, and if a woman fails to prevent male sexual aggression, she pays with her life.

What's with that?

It's time for men to take responsibility for their pressing sexuality.

Musings From The Laundry Mat of Life - Imperfections

I have been struggling to get this out of my head. I had my own perfection issues to deal with. Mainly I'm not doing this right or perfect. It finally came down to do it and be done with it.

This is what I have figured out so far and was able to make a small demonstration video of a very big issue. I think if more of us could get a handle of what is being transmitted to our heads and see our true selves we could increase the mental health of this nation by a factor or ten.
