DLD Women's Conference - Day One

I was curious about all of the #DLD hash tags in Twitter so I looked it up and found out that there is a conference called. Digital Life Design (DLD).

In June 2011 DLD was held in Germany. This is a clip of the first day activities.

Lisa Bettany Visit to This Week In Tech

Lisa Bettany is a photographer who uses web video in addition to text and photos on her site.

It is used as a promotional tool for her site Mostly Lisa and a means of providing tutorials to her site visitors; especially on the Camera+ application for iPhones.

In this video, she is visiting Leo Laporte's This Week in Tech and showing a bit of the behind the scene action.

If you want to learn more about the Camera+ photo app you can visit the web site or check it out via iTunes.

Miro Video Converter Demonstration

This is a demonstration of the Miro Video Converter that makes it very easy to convert videos from your computer to mobile phones or media devices.

At the time I couldn't find a decent Miro tutorial video so I made my own. Nothing fancy just showing folks that all you need to do is drag and drop the video into the converter and select the video format.

What Is Drupal Video by Laura Scott

There are periods of time when you will hear someone say that women are not involved in the business of technology. Women are involved. Women own and operate technology companies.

Laura Scott at PingVision is one of those women. This is an explanation that she has created to explain what Drupal is and what the product can do for potential clients and other interested people; some of whom are women.

So when you see an article in a major newspaper that makes dumb uninformed statements about the non-existence of women in technology take a moment to remember this video.

Letting Ideas Find You - Quick Tips for Busy Women

Sometimes an idea will walk up to me and stick like static. I had to do three things at once today. This idea was waiting for me to see it. This is number two in a series of posts to help women get started in web video or videoblogging.

I'm on mission and never mind I violated my self-imposed rule of no more than five minutes yakking time. I'll see what I can do in the edit but I feel good about this post.

I hate doing Talking Head videos, by the way. Reminds me of too many things to recount, like grammar school flashbacks. Anyway, two videos down, five to go!

Panasonic Camcorder Quick Review

I recorded this about a year ago and forgot about it. Being too judgmental I guess. My Panny has become my everyday camera and I do like how it works. Starts fast, with no fumbling with waiting for it to focus. Even the 640x480 still photos look good.
