Caroline Casey - Shamanic Astrology Part 1

This is Caroline Casey who has a radio show on KPFA called Visionary Activist. Those of you in the Los Angeles area can hear her show on KPFK 90.7 at 5:00am Friday mornings.

Caroline will take you places you did not know existed. Linguistically, it is like riding a bike and trying to keep up with the scenery as you pedal as fast as you can.

The word pictures and the full intent of meaning are for those that are open to just listening and being with what she has to say. You don't have to agree.

It might help if you don't at first. It is a challenge in this space and time just to have the patience to listen to another person without pressing fast forward.

Give it a go.

Valentine's Day :: Spring Fever

Oh. Got it bad.

I'm as restless as a poet on a string.

POST NOTE: Found this in drafts and decided to post it now - regardless of the strange summer timing.

Appropriate to recall winter @ the beginning of summer.

Confessions :: PostSecret

I love PostSecret. It's a photocast. It's arte postale. It's a collaboration. It's a book: PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives. Anybody can play. It has a life outside the digital realm.

Do you have a particular quality that lets you get away with a lot of shit?

What are your secrets?

Would you be more honest if you could spill your secrets anonymously?

Have always thought one of the great things about Catholicism is its ritual of confession.

I feel better just thinking about finding and telling a secret.

I miss posting here in the throes of winter busy-ness, but wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. This image cried out to be posted here.

The Ritual of the Annual Family Portrait

A wee meditation on the nature of identity that leads me to ask how much influence family ritual and mythology exerts upon us.

Lots. Lots and lots.
